The Wedding Vacation is hosted by Green Village, a secluded 4 stars bio-resort set where the Danube meets the Black Sea. They have prepared for us a unique package.

Book a Ride

We’re in the biosphere of the Danube Delta, a nature sanctuary far away from the urban.
Getting to Green Village follows a 5 hours drive from Bucharest to Murighiol port, from where you need to take a 1 hour boat ride.
To make it easy for everyone, we have booked the following busses:
Friday, 29.08.2025, leaving at 12:30 from Piata Victoriei, Bucharest.
Monday, 1st of September, leaving at 12:30 from Murighiol port.

For those of you who can’t make it to the buses, we don’t recommend renting a car, as it will be sitting in the port parking lot for the whole time you’ll be in Green Village. However, parking is included with the accommodation.

If you come with your own car, make sure you check the boat schedule and bear in mind no boat leaves after dark.

Good to know

Packing:

You’re travelling by boat to a place surrounded by untouched nature, wild beaches and many other wonders. Make sure you are prepared to discover them all!

What to put in your luggage: sun cream, after sun cream, sun hat, mosquito repellent, flip-flops, sneakers or other comfy shoes, a light sweater or jacket for the night; a mini-flashlight for night strolls on the wild beach.

What to leave home: high-heels of any type.

Travelling advice:

To make the most of your trip we recommend arriving in Bucharest either Thursday night or Friday no later than 10 in the morning. If you’re coming by plane to Bucharest, the best way to get to the city is by train (find the station right outside the arrivals terminal; check the schedule here). If the train doesn’t suit your plans, take a Bolt or Uber; taxis might be scam. A ride to the city is between 50-80 lei (10-16 euros) depending on the traffic conditions. In Bucharest, book a hotel/AirBNB close to Piata Victoriei. This way you’ll make it to the bus in time but also be in the epicenter of city exploring.

When in Bucharest:

Book a table at Noua Bar and experience reinterpreted Romanian Cuisine, have a walk on Calea Victoriei, grab a coffee at Sloane, then a drink at Barton or Negroni Bar and check out the Old Center looking for Carturesti Carusel, a spectacular bookshop right at its heart. Continue your walk to Piata Unirii to see the colorful water fountains and get a glimpse of the Palace of Parliament, the second biggest building in the world. If hunger strikes, go to Pot Stories, and you won’t be disappointed. Jump in a Bolt or Uber and get some rest before the big trip.

When in the Danube Delta:

Make sure to book at least one boat trip to discover the canals on the Danube and spot unique bird species. We highly recommend spending a couple more days in nature. Book a trip to see the wild horses of Letea and the forest with the oldest trees, so big, it takes 4-5 people to hug one. Make sure you build an appetite with a strong spirit like Palinca or a sweet Visinata, then try storceag, a typical sturgeon soup, dip your fresh fish in garlic foam and pair it all with local wines. The area of the Danube Delta is internationally known for its wines so don’t shy away from trying them. Spend some time on the wild beaches, but don’t go strolling at night alone. You can walk through glittering plankton, but swimming might be dangerous at night. Also, you might also encounter some chacals so please beware. Let the adventure begin!
